Creative Cult: Why Are We Starting a Cult?
Millions of people around the world are struggling with their mental health, searching for something to bring light, clarity, and joy into their lives. Enter creativity—a force so powerful, so transformative, that it has the ability to heal, inspire, and unlock new ways of thinking. And so, we’re starting a cult. A Creative Cult.

Now, before you panic—no, we’re not talking about eerie robes and secret handshakes. This isn’t about blind devotion or losing yourself. It’s about finding yourself through creativity in its purest, most freeing form. We want to spread the word of the magical powers that creativity has on wellbeing. Art can guide you through difficult emotions, help you understand yourself on a deeper level, and allow you to see the world in new and exciting ways.
And here’s the best part: you don’t have to be a perfect illustrator, a trained painter, or a renowned sculptor to reap the benefits. The Creative Cult isn’t about perfection—it’s about play, expression, and joy. It’s about squiggles, doodles, ripping paper, splattering paint, and embracing the imperfect beauty of creative exploration. Whether it’s journaling your thoughts in color, molding clay without a plan, or making the messiest collage imaginable, there are endless ways to invite creativity into your life.
We believe creativity isn’t just for the ‘talented’—it’s for everyone. It’s a tool for happiness, growth, and self-discovery. It’s an act of rebellion against stress, self-doubt, and the idea that art must serve a purpose beyond joy.
So, are you in? Will you join us in this movement to make creativity a daily ritual, a sacred space, and a source of light?
Welcome to the Creative Cult—where all you need is an open mind, a willingness to explore, and a belief in the magic of making. Let’s create, together.

Cult Intentions
Based on ideas suggested by you via social media we have begun to put together a list of intentions, to become somewhat a manifesto for the Creative Cult.
Goal, to learn to utilise creativity as a weapon against bullshit!
Rebelling against societal norms that aren’t working for us!
We believe that creativity can save us, creativity can be used as a tool for good, for community and for self love.
Creativity is a vessel to learn what you do and don’t like, enabling a powerful self belief and confidence.
Creativity is a tool to express, discover, release and calm. It can be used to help us through dark days.
Through the use of creativity we will learn healthier coping methods enabling inner calm and joy, building up happy hormones to be more resilient.
We pledge to not just like things because others like them, we endeavour to figure out what we like and want so that the pleasure of those things will last longer
We can’t learn in a vacuum even when learning about ourselves so we will aim to celebrate others and learn from them, support them and build each other up.
Comparison is the thief of joy and so we will recognise feelings of jealousy and competitiveness and not let it turn bitter…these emotions are ok but we will challenge ourselves to recognise what’s not healthy.
We will look for the joy in the world around us, finding creativity and art in the small things and celebrating in small ways.
We vow to share this knowledge with others, helping them to see the power of creativity as a tool for mental strength…not forcibly but encouraging small ways of being and seeing creative wonders.
Tell us your thoughts, do you like this list? Would you change anything? Should we add anything? Do you have a story of how creativity has helped you?
Do you feel like you would benefit from learning to understand yourself better? Did you know we have an online creative course that we believe will help you do just that!
