How the hell do you make Valentines Day feel special when you are in the same house, same room, same pj's that you have been for almost a year now??? You've already done quarantine Christmas, quarantine birthdays and quarantine new years eve...running out of ideas? I've got a few to help you out:
It wouldn't be me if I didn't suggest some do it yourself ideas now would it;
I recently watched something on Netflix that was super cheesy called 'Dream Home Makeover', don't judge me, ok! In amongst the American dream and white paint something they did as a family stuck with me as a brilliant idea, The Heart Attack, which is probably the opposite of your first thought: Cut out paper hearts and write nice messages then hang them in a friends front garden for them to find. In the show they knocked on the door and then waved from a safe distance, although I can't guarantee you wouldn't get fined for this in the UK at the moment as I don't think it would be considered essential travel, but what a lovely idea to brighten someone's day. Little messages of love and support to hang in someone's garden, pop through the door or post snail mail style.
Or what about creating a gift box or bag adding finds from local producers in your city. Here in Worcester we have had a serge of new independent businesses open in the last few years, from donuts to bagels, burgers and bars and a lot of them have adapted to lockdown with amazing ideas like home delivered cocktails and make your own burger kits. Not forgetting all of your local artist’s, makers and musicians.
Don't fancy any DIY? What about buying your way in to your loved ones heart:

@mose.and
Don’t feel like getting crafty and obviously can’t go out, why not buy in a Mose.and table setting to make it feel like an in house restaurant.

@uniqucornpopcorn
Order Uniqucorn Popcorn pop at home kits and get creative as a couple or with the family then snuggle down to a movie. They are also launching Valentines boxes of pre-made popcorn if you are kitchen shy, all you need do is open the box.
@ugliemug
What about a cute, handmade, one of a kind morning coffee mug. A perfect gift as original as your partner.
@secondhandroseworcester
Struggling with boredom and need to entertain yourself? What about buying yourself a vintage treat from Second Hand Rose and doing a fun retro photoshoot?
@knitted_by_lw
Cute present idea from Knitted By LW, hand made heart wreaths to fill your home with love, they come in lots of colours and look great everywhere. She also teaches classes when lockdowns aren’t in place so keep your eye out for those.
