We've got some amazing news to share with you!
We at Artists Clubhouse are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to create a series of workshops titled Creative Club around Worcestershire. Our goal is to show people how to use creativity as a tool to improve mental health and wellbeing, helping people to cope with isolation and loneliness as well as negative moods.
At the Creative Club workshops, we want to give everyone the opportunity to explore their creativity. Whether you're a pro artist or a beginner, you're more than welcome to come and join us at one of our free pop-up workshops!
We'll be holding the workshops in various locations throughout Worcestershire, starting at Platform Housing’s Sky Lounge which over looks almost the whole county with some epic and inspiring views. After doing a tour of some cool venues dotted around Worcestershire we are then hoping to round it all off at the start of next year with an exhibition at The Artery Studios in Worcester city centre. Our aim is to make the workshops accessible to as many people as possible.
The workshops will be led by founder Emily and artist Kirstie Gregory, guiding participants through different creative ideas. We believe that by developing important life skills like self-expression, stress relief and being able to spend time alone, individuals will be better equipped to cope with everyday challenges and maintain good mental health.
We understand the importance of having a safe and supportive environment to share experiences and connect with others that's why we're providing a platform where everyone can express themselves and have a go at a multitude of artistic expressions to find the one or more that suit them.
We at Artists Clubhouse are beyond excited to have been awarded National Lottery Community Funding for our Creative Club workshops in Worcestershire. And guess what? It was our third time applying! They say third time's the charm, and that's definitely the case for us. This win shows that we should never give up on our goals and keep pushing forward, no matter what. We're grateful for this opportunity to expand our reach and provide more workshops to more people in the community. So, let's make the most of it and use creativity to improve our mental health and wellbeing!
Thanks to Keith Slater from Regenerating Communities for his help and advice with our TNL Community Fund application.
Thanks to The National Lottery Community Funding, we'll be able to provide more workshops to more people in the Worcestershire area.
